Jackie Gleason Theater

The Jackie Gleason Theater is located on Washington Avenue just steps away from Lincoln Road, the Miami Beach Convention Center, and the ocean shore. In need of a facelift, the City of Miami Beach hired the SKLARchitecture team of designers to restore the interior of the theater to its original glory. The 2700-seat theater and performing arts facility renovations included revamping all common areas- including restrooms, lobbies, bars, and dressing rooms. All renovations were integrated with ADA requirements for universal accessibility. The design for the project incorporated blue & gold-colored eclectic decor, sheer curtains, mock theater balconies, granite/glass materials, info red sensors, and motion-sensitive technology throughout the spaces.
