The challenge was to update this neglected 1959 office building, converting it for retail & commercial use while respecting the integrity of the original architecture. Our design intent for this project was to uncover, expose, & restore the existing 1950's architectural features and to provide an updated, beautified storefront facade to greet Miami Gardens Drive. The interior was completely demolished in order to accommodate future retail space, and the exterior of the building was partially removed to accommodate proposed storefront improvements.
The restoration of this highly visible building along Miami Gardens Drive allows for stunning exposure of tenant businesses to more than 57,000 vehicles per day. Our design allowed the irregular building and lot shine within their context of beautiful North Miami Beach.
