Hollywood

University Station

This incredible proposed new development for the University Train Station of Hollywood was submitted by SKLARchitecture in association with the City of Hollywood, the Housing Trust Group, and Barry University. This transit-oriented development proposal regards a site that lies along the FEC Rail Corridor, and would incorporate a commuter rail stop in close proximity to the historic downtown district of the city of Hollywood. The 2.51 acre-plot is located along Dixie Highway, East of the FEC Railway, and North of Hollywood Boulevard.

In terms of the design proposal, the corner of each structure was researched and planned to create a lively and transitional experience for pedestrians moving between the street and the building interior. The accessible bridge would connect portions of the building plan together to allow for program unification throughout the property.
