"I don't think I've seen a synagogue exterior quite like this one. Menachem Feuer posted on FB this photo of Temple Beth Shmuel in Miami. It looks like a sand castle, ala Antoni Gaudi, but a bit more restrained. Designed by Oscar Sklar (?), this new building was dedicated in 1985. The palm trees add a beautiful touch to the place."

Zachary Braiterman is a Professor of Religion in the Department of Religion at Syracuse University. His specialization is modern Jewish thought and philosophical aesthetics.
