Local talent shines as 2014 Aurora Awards judges put an emphasis on sustainability

The following excerpts are from an article written by Harold Bubil and was published by the Sarasota Herald-Tribune on August 3, 2014:

"Green building is no longer the exclusive domain of "affordable" and mid-market houses.

Upscale projects are incorporating sustainable design and construction principles while retaining all the stunning visual appeal normally associated with high-end home building.

The results were richly rewarded by judges evaluation entries in the 2014 Aurora Awards, presented each year since the 1970s by the Southeast Building Conference in Orlando."

Under "GRAND AURORA AWARD WINNERS":

"Best Water-Wise Home: Two Trails Inc., 2020 Alton, Miami Beach. Team Members: Florida Green Home Design; SKLARchitecture; A Moment In Time; Two Trails, Inc.

Best Solar Energy Efficient House: Two Trails Inc., 2020 Alton, Miami Beach. Team members: Florida Green Home Design; SKLARchitecture; Two Trails."
